Capturing Inventory Quantities with Your Pocket PC

These applications are powerful in what they accomplish but are limited in what they can do by the small size and capacity of the Pocket PC.

The information captured by the hand held is then available for the full function AA program to import. Because you are not tied to the computer this application can be run anywhere. Only when passing the information to the main computer is it necessary to be connected to your network.

This series of screen images illustrate how the hand held computer makes the recording of inventory levels simple, accurate and quick. Sometimes this is called a physical inventory application. 

First enter an item number by keying the number or by scanning the item tag.
 

Notice that the current inventory level is displayed with the name and price. This allows an easy and efficient cross check of your displayed inventory with the real inventory.

Key the actual quantity of the item and press Add to record the quantities. Click the counted items tab to display the list of item that have been counted so far.

This device is complimented with a posting program that adjusts the inventoried quantities with what has been sold since the line was recorded. This makes sense because because you can continue to sell items that are being inventoried. Let the computer adjust the count for what  transpired after the count was made. Convenience and power are built into UDS ActiveApplications even for hand held computers.
