Sale Capability
These are a few examples of the reports available to your company. There are
many variations on these and other reports too numerous to display each of them
here.
Active Point Of Sale has an important feature available that your company
needs. This feature is called an Internal Sale. One department in your retail
store "sells" items to another department. An example would be a
retail nursery supplying materials for the landscape division. To activate this
feature your control file needs to have the Internal Sale Active and an Internal
Sale Sale Type. Internal sales are treated differently from a normal sale.
Once the control file is changed you can create internal sales. Within a
company if one division stocks items that another division uses in its products,
the stocking division should get credit for the cost of stocking the item. Or in
other words it "sells" that item to the other division. The division
that uses the materials needs to record the cost of that item. AA POS has the
ability to record this type of transaction. We call it an internal sale. The

An internal sale allows your company to track the interdivisional sale and
maintain inventory accuracy. Click the Internal Sale check box to begin an
Internal Sale.

UDS follows several guidelines when designing reports. The amount of information
that must be displayed determines the size of the report. If the necessary
information can be displayed in portrait on your paper size it will. A smaller
font size will be used until the type would be unreadable if made smaller. If
the necessary information is too wide to fit portrait the computer will switch
to landscape mode. If the required information is still too wide legal paper (8
by 14 inches) will automatically be selected in the printer. Your printer and
print driver will determine how the commands are handled by your system. UDS
makes it easy for you to get the information you must have.
The report samples displayed in these examples are captured directly from the
report program that generates the report. Built into every UDS report is the
ability to view it on the screen or place the report directly into Word or Excel
format if those applications are available on your computer. Export it into one
of several other file formats is available, too.
Easy integration into Microsoft Office is a priority with UDS programming
staff. You will be more productive when using Active Applications because of the
Office integration features.
